Why do people believe that diets low in carbohydrate-rich proteins will help to lose weight?

Im NSCA-CPT I asked why, because I know it does not work. Carbohydrates are your primary source of energy. Protien can be used for energy but it offers much less ATP, if you do not know what the ATP is you should not be the answer to this question.

It has since been proved to be effective and again. increasing protein intake and decreasing consumption of carbohydrates can not only increase the sensitivity to insulin, but it helps avoid overeating by increasing satiety. it is basic human physiology, at rest, the main energy source for skeletal muscle free fatty acids. glucose is used only in skeletal muscle during exercise of high intensity. If there no high intensity exercise is performed regularly then there is no need for a high intake of carbohydrates for a population aging more and more sedentary. The problem is that most people do not realize the need to make changes in lifestyle and habits change food.
